What's New in Minecraft 1.21.90.21?
The latest beta update brings powerful enhancements, new recipes, experimental mobs, and smoother gameplay across all platforms.
Updated Lead (Leash) Crafting Recipe
- Old Recipe: 4 Strings + 1 Slimeball
- New Recipe: 5 Strings
This change makes Leads easier to craft, especially in worlds where Slimes are rare.
Dried Ghast Block Recipe Modification
- Old Recipe: Bone Block + other materials
- New Recipe: Soul Sand + other materials
The new recipe now fits better with Nether-themed builds.
Enhanced Leash Mechanics
- You can now use Leashes on the new Happy Ghast.
- If it flies more than 16 blocks away, the leash breaks automatically.
Experimental Additions
- Happy Ghast: A new mob that can carry up to 4 players. Use a Harness to ride and control it.
- Harness: Crafted with wool, glass, and leather. Comes in 16 colors and is needed to fly with the Happy Ghast.
- Ghastlings: Feed them snowballs to turn them into Happy Ghasts.
